Accessibility Statement

Accessibility statement for Different Pulses website

In recent years, the websites have become the main platform for publishing the various information and services offered by the company to the general public.

This website is an image site where you can read information about the artist studio “Different Pulses”, information about the artists working in the studio, a photo gallery of tattoos of various types, a quick possibility to schedule a consultation with the studio staff and more.

Our goal in making the website accessible is to create equal opportunities in the Internet space for people with various disabilities and people who use various assistive technologies when browsing the Internet.

Accessibility adjustments on the website

Accessibility adjustments have been made on this website in accordance with the recommendations of the Israeli standard (TI 5568) and content accessibility on the Internet at the AA level in combination with the recommendations of the WCAG2.0 document published through the international organization W3C that deals with standardization on the Internet.

The adjustments made on the site were tested using the most common browsers: Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. In order to have a pleasant and optimal browsing experience with screen reader software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA software.

In order to make the site accessible to people with disabilities, a large number of actions were carried out, including:

  • Adjusting the site for easy and convenient navigation using the keyboard.
  • Creating a noticeable and clear visual change when hovering over clickable elements (clicks) on the site.
  • Use and labeling of the titles according to the information that appears in them and the structure of the page.
  • Creating a clear focus integrated frame when navigating the site using the keyboard.
  • Using appropriate visual contrast between the color of the text and the color of the background.
  • Adding a dedicated page containing a site map for better orientation on all the website pages.

Adjustments made on the site for surfers using screen reader software:

  • Adding appropriate alternative text to the images appearing on the website.
  • Use of page titles that are detailed and clear to the user.
  • Use of appropriate and clear labels in the fields appearing in the contact form.
  • Using the Aria label command to adapt the component appearing on the website to the screen reader software.
  • Use of simple and clear language on all website pages.

Using the accessibility component (accessibility plugin)

As part of the website’s accessibility process, a plugin was implemented which is an accessibility component that allows convenient use and improvement of the user’s experience on the website and its adaptation to people with disabilities.
Browsing the website using the accessibility plugin is recommended using the latest version of the Google Chrome browser. When using other browsers that are not updated, there may be compatibility issues between the required action and the actual change within the site.
In order to activate the options available in the accessibility component, press the ESC key on the keyboard or the “accessibility icon” that appears at the bottom of the site.
